A Case Manager will perform a variety of skilled nursing duties involved in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing and health care in our patients’ home setting. Correctional Health RN/LPN
Consider making a difference with Visiting Nurse Community Care (VNCC)'s Correctional Health Services team. Correctional Health nursing offers you autonomy and the opportunity to use your hard-earned critical assessment skills. Position is full time, nights. Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours). Shift hours are 6p to 6a. Rotate weekends and holidays. Work in a busy, clinic-like, secure, modern environment primarily in the Kenosha downtown corrections facility. Primary duties involve attending to the medical needs of inmates and detainees. Triage medical complaints and emergencies. Pass medications. Assist physician & dentist. Nurses' safety is first and foremost--no contact with inmates without correctional professionals present. Other duties include but are not limited to: Knowing and practicing infection control principles and procedures. Communicating respectfully, effectively and positively with inmates, other medical and corrections professionals. Understanding and following procedures set forth by jail staff for maintaining control in a corrections environment.
