Kenosha VNA Nurse for over
14 years.
The desire to take care of others led Wahneeta into the field of nursing. It’s the smallest smile from a patient that keeps her there.
After 36 years of working in health care, Wahneeta has yet to tire of being a nurse. Every day, she finds more reasons to love what she does. All it takes is a simple smile or a “thank you” from a patient and she knows she’s made a difference.
Wahneeta knew she found the right match when she began working at Kenosha Visiting Nurse Association. She’s able to give one-on-one care to patients in their own home. Because quality patient care is the top priority at Kenosha VNA, Wahneeta can focus on what matters most to her and her patients - healing.
“I want to make a positive impact in the lives of all my patients. Sometimes what they really need is just to know someone cares for them. I try to reassure people that I’m here and I care.”

Meet Debbie,
Kenosha VNA Clinical Supervisor and Wound Care Specialist
Debbie holds degrees in biology and nursing. She is also certified in Wound Care and Chemotherapy. If you ask her why she’s a a nurse, she’ll tell you she just likes to help people.
Getting involved is the best way to be a good nurse, according to Debbie. As a case manager, she coordinates nearly all aspects of her patients’ health care. Many patients see several physicians and specialists and have new medications. They need someone to put it all together and communicate with the members of their health care team. Often, that person is Debbie.
“Above all, I see myself as a patient advocate. The well-being of each of my patients
is my top priority.”
At Kenosha Visiting Nurse Association, Debbie thoroughly assesses the needs of her patients and ensures they have access to available resources. Debbie has worked in several health care environments and feels that home care suits her best. It allows her to care for patients from start to finish. That’s why the most often heard comment from her patients is that they don’t know what they would have done without her.

Meet Diane,
Kenosha VNA Nurse and
Pediatric Specialist
A nurse for 32 years, Diane is certified in Chemotherapy and specializes in treating pediatric patients. Diane brings invaluable experience to the Kenosha VNA nursing team.
Patients of all ages are fortunate to find their way into Diane’s care because in her, they find a person they can trust. She’s known for developing close bonds with her patients. They often like to keep in touch long after their care is complete, and Diane wouldn’t have it any other way.
“My goal is to earn the trust of my patients by being there for them and being a proactive, knowledgeable nurse. This is important for everyone I care for, no matter their age.”
As a nurse with Kenosha Visiting Nurse Association, Diane has the ability to work closely with patients and ultimately have a real impact on the outcome of their care. For her, its an honor to be allowed into the homes and lives of patients. She’s devoted to bringing the best possible care to each person she treats.

Annually, National Nurses Week begins on May 6, marked as RN Recognition Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession.
